Lunar New Year 2012
Friday, January 20, 2012
Celebrating the year of the dragon! This was our 4th time hosting the Lunar New Year Festival here at UWF. There was free food, entertainment, and plenty of games and door prizes. Some of our booths this year were: our popular Thai Tea booth, Bucket toss booth, Calligraphy booth, Photo booth, and a Goldfish booth. | Wonton Wednesdays
Starting Wednesday, February 22, 2012, our sisters will come together to make savory homemade wontons!
(Pictures coming soon!) | Spring Roll Nights!Whenever we can!
Our Chapter hosts Spring Roll Nights at least twice a semester where we prepare the ingredients to make our own Vietnamese style spring rolls complete w/ delicious peanut dipping sauce. We, of course, put our own twist to things by frying up slices of SPAM and adding various vegetables such as cucumbers and bean sprouts, but all in all it is ALWAYS a good time. |
UWF 3rd Annual Men of Color Retreat
Sept 23, 2011
Our Lovely Ladies performed a cultural Island inspired dance at this event. 'We are reaching out to students, faculty, staff, and invited guests of all races and nationalities. Although the focus of the retreat is the success of men of color, we welcome and invite all interested persons to participate. This includes women, faculty, students, and all ethnic groups. It is through this type of multidimensional participation that we will be able to expand this retreat. " | Lunar New Year FestivalJan 28, 2011
